Non-binary struggles, bathrooms and clothes:
Why does it matter what gender I am?

Interesting questions
Do I feel pressure from society about my gender?
Why would I be treated differently if I identified as a man?
Why do I still assume genders and “need” to know?
And how can I completely let go of it?

What are the differences in cultural attitude towards genders?
Does a variety of genders give more freedom or less? "putting in a box" and giving labels.

Why queer archives are important
Zena's Research
This discussion around gender is quite exhausting, with this project what are we contributing to the discussion? Do we want to voice an opinion? I don't think I do necessarily.

Is an archive objective?

Non-binary and transgender people exist for a long time in many different cultures.
These people seem to have been regarded highly, seen as spiritual and in tune with themselves, being shamans or other type of leaders.

Not specifying gender ————————having labels for every variation and possibility
genderless -- feminine -- combination of everything -- masculine -- genderless

Why is our society so obsessed with gender, labels?

Archive with personal stories like
An archive can be a book, folder, website, cd, mixtape, podcast, diary. Its a collection

Daisy's research

What is the masculine and feminine energy?

Masculine energy is characterized by DOING and achieving and is molded by logic and reason. The feminine is more intuitive, oriented towards receiving and allowing, and characterized by BEING. When these energies are balanced, we experience a greater sense of harmony and fulfillment.
Maaike's research

Labels can be a good thing for someone individually but as a society why do we feel the need to put everthing in a box. The need to just shove someone into one certain direction. Will there be a future without labels or are there going to be more more and more.

Some discussions are brought up again and again. Why do people keep bothering with it when it isn’t about them. An article was published this month on a big dutch magazine about gender neutral toilets.

Representation in media is still one sided and only showing one group within the community
