meeting 2
During our second meeting, we shared our research and points of interests and tried to relate them to the assignment of creating an archive. A few ideas came up:

1. An archive of all public restrooms and how they are labeled throughout the city, a visual archive that is simple and doesnt push an opinion. It's objective.

2. An archive with portraits of people on a spectrum, they place themselves. The goal is to show that there is not a single look for a gender. Hopefully encouraging everyone that they can identify how they want and don't have to look a certain way to be non-binary for example. However, asking people to place themselves on a spectrum can be problematic, in a way we would still be asking people to put themselves in some kind of box.

3. The Queer Handbook. An archive of the hands of queer people. This idea is making us very excited. The pages show the inside and outside of someones hand as you flip the page, in the palm of their hand their answer is written to this qeustion: What does being queer mean to you?
With this 'handbook' we want to guide people in a way, show them that being queer can be whatever they want it to be to them. In a way the opposite of a handbook because there is no way to do it 'right'
